We love Nick's. If you want your food delivered hot, fast, and friendly, order from Nick's. They have delicious food at a fair price.

totally inconstant. One day the food is good the next its horrible. The last few times we ate here the food was bad. Overcooked hamburger, stale bun, soggy fries. The ribs are ok but the sides you get come in the size of a shot glass. It's ridiculous. Thanks for the shot of mashed potatoes. I would just go to Pops. I will from now on.

We have been eating too much fast food lately! But that's off-topic because this is a great find. I have lived in the south suburbs most of my life and don't think I've ever tried Nick's. On an errand and hungry, this was along the way home. So we thought we'd give it a try. We walked in and I got a little nervous. I thought their menu would be strictly barbecue and was worried to see such a variety. I feared the food would not be good! I got a little annoyed that I didn't find a pulled pork sandwich which is what I crave when getting bbq. But then I found it and all was well. I got the pulled pork with a side of curly fries. My meal was huge and I couldn't finish it. The pulled pork was juicy and yummy. I've ordered this elsewhere and had to add bbq sauce because it was lacking. Not at Nick's! The curly fries were super good. Dan ordered a skirt steak sandwich with the potato wedges. The steak sandwich was good and I even enjoyed a small bite (even though I'm not a fan of steak sandwiches in general). The potato wedges were three large slice of real potato. Good but the quantity wasn't as great as my curly fries. Overall, Nick's blew away my expectations. The inside is not a well finished restaurant with decor (no waiter service but if you sit, they bring you your food). But do not judge it for its appearance because the food is good. I will have to try ribs next time. And kudos to Nick's for including Green River in their pop selection... that was a very pleasant and delicious surprise!

I came in here about 10:30 and it was me, and some nut job staring at the wall with his coffee. I ordered a sausage with fries and a soda. First off. Who the hell serves Fanta and RC! Am I in the hood? I didn't realize this crap was still legal. So, I'm waiting for my chow and the floor show starts almost immediately. A young employee comes in and starts a hysterical rant about not working on Mondays, because the older lady said she would switch and now doesn't want to and Nick is going to cut her hours! This went on the entire time I was there. They even took it into the kitchen for 5 minutes, but they must be Greek or Italian. Because their inside voice could be heard across the street. The bitchy one brought my food in a comical, throw. He's your food! Right! I started in on the sausage and it was on a soggy (not in a good way) roll. Not French bread. The actual meat was colored orange to indicate the spiciness that did not exist. The green peppers that were supposed to be sweet, were drenched in pepper. The fries were of the coated variety to make them crispy. Not my first choice. But if you change the oil in the fryer every season or so, even regular fries will be crispy on their own. I was eating so fast that I wiped one out on my shirt. I never do that, but I was trying to get out of the line of fire. I wouldn't come back here to watch it burn down! You know! Greek Lightning!

Terrible. Ordered a pull pork sandwich, breaded chicken sandwich, both had to be thrown out. Chicken tasted funny and the pulled pork meat was hard. That being said...May give it one more try as this was my first visit. Went there because of reviews from friends.

Worst food ever. Taste like grease has not been changed in years! Fries were just garbage. Scary part is I ordered the shish ka bob pork, it was one thin skewer of pork and it tasted just like the raunchy fries. I bet they were cooked together in the same nasty grease.

Ordering delivery was a nightmare. They lost out order for lunch, claiming "their printer was out of ink." Unacceptable. So they offered to replace the meal several days later for half price. When we called to confirm, woman on phone was very rude, and even had the nerve to tell us to call back later because she was getting another call. We will never order again.

Their beef gyros are the best gyros around in Palos. Even the taziki sauce is good. Their fries are a thicker cut but they're delicious!

Disappointed! I've had BBQ here before x enjoyed it --- however not tonight! RIB TIP DINNER ALL FAT X BONES! Beans were boring - slaw WAS good.

This was our family's go to place when I was too lazy to make dinner. A huge menu from a typical Greek owned dive, there's something for everyone ranging from gyro's to italian beef to burgers to salads. There is a small eat-in part where the cashier will bring your food to your table when it's ready. The staff is super friendly. The drive through can be slow. If you place your order there, they often have you pull around to the parking lot and bring your food to you. I've learned to call ahead, while en route and pick it up when I'm about 10 minutes out.

We were outdoors all day and were hungry so we decided to eat at Nick's since I have been driving by it for 12 yrs. My wife, sister and friend ordered the half chick barbeque w sweet potato fries and all were satisfied. I ordered pork shisk-ka-bob which was good. Tha garlic sauce was mild, very mild, was more like bake potato sour cream. They have a large menu and the young lady was very helpful and entergetic though w her piercings she will have a hard time going through a metal detector. Very good.

Excellent service! Food is ready on time for pick up or delivery! Great for nights when you want to order in! Staff is efficient. Hot food is hot; cold food is cold! The ribs are amazing ~ meaty, tender, fall off the bone, pleasant sauce. YUM! Try it!

We went here yesterday to try and fill our BBQ cravings, however the meal was sub par. My husband and I ordered the rib tip dinners and the meat and BBQ were very underwhelming. The baked beans that come with this meal tastes like it's just a bottle of bbq sauce poured in the beans which didn't taste so good-probably because I was not a fan of the sauce. The potato wedges were tasty, and the coleslaw was too liquidy. I would not be up for trying this place again for the BBQ that they boast about anyway.

This is our favorite place for ribs. We love fall off the bone ribs and Nicks ribs never let us down. The BBQ sauce is great on the fries and ribs. The only reason we are not giving Nicks a 5 star is some of their sides are lacking. Their cream soups are all great. Order Ribs, fries, cole slaw and french bread. This will not let you down.

In Palos for the holidays, we ordered food from Nick's one evening for dinner. The Italian beef sandwiches were huge; ended up saving half for the next day. My son ordered the rib/pulled pork dinner and could not finish it, which is saying something. Good food, generous portions and reasonable prices make this a reliable standby when we are in the area.

I ordered ribs, bbq chicken, gyro and soup. The ribs were probably the worst i've ever had. They were flavorless and dry. For a kind of meat that is very high in fat and coated in bbq sauce it should have some kind of flavor, but not here. The chicken was also very bland and overcooked. The ribs and chicken looked like they were probably cooked a week ago and then cooked again over the grill to warm them up when I picked up my order. The gyro plate was somehow dry. Only 1 pita in a gyro plate? The amoutn of meat in the plate was about 1/2 or less than you would normally get in a gyro plate anywhere else. I ended up forcing down the gyro and throwing out the bbq ribs and chicken. The soup was cream of chicken rice and was good. I don't think it was homemade, but it at least tasted ok. I never see anyone eating there but after reading all of the good reviews I bought a groupon to check it out. I wish I hadn't wasted my money, even after the groupon.

I've eaten here many times, a good place for fast food.

Very good food. A very wide variety of choices. I enjoy the chicken taco's, gyro's and turkey club. They also have one of the best pepper and egg sandwiches around. There is always plenty of food.

When I go visit my father-in-law on Sunday we get take out ribs from here. I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, a rib aficionado, but I've eaten a LOT of them and they are tasty. We've had a few upsets, like a salad that was full of water that they cheerfully credited us for the next time we were there. We can't get them to stop packing plastic utensils and enough sour cream for dozens of baked potatoes but in general they're good.
